DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO EXTEND VISA FOR SENIOR CITIZENS IN CASE OF OVER 50 YEARS OLD.
1. Application form TM7 duly completed ( fee 1,900 )
2. 4x6 cm photograph.
3. Passport and copy of ID page and current non - immigration visa. If you don`t have a current non - immigrant visa, you can convert your tourist visa at the imigration bureau on a special form.
4. Either a Letter from a Thai bank, not more than one week old, certifying a balance of at least 800.000 bath, together with a copy of your bank book showing the name page and transactions for the past three months. In first year of the retirement visa, the 800,000 bath must have been in the bank for at last two months prior to application but in subsequent years, the requirement is at least three months prior.
Or Letter from your embassy showing pension or other income in your home country of at least 65.000 bath equivalent on a monthly basis.
Or a combination of both above that is income of less than 65.000 bath equivalent monthly with acomplementary vash sum in the Thai bank. The total from both sources combined must be at least 800.000 bath. You will need a letter from both your bank and your embassy. Fund book not allowed.
5. A document showing your local Thai adress an official rent book or a letter headed receipt of rent paid, company papers or proof of ownership of a condominium or residence. The immigration officer will keep a photocopy of the document.
6. In case of a married couple applying for retirement visas a certified of the marriage certificate in english or thai must be present as part of the paperwork.
7. If a joint bank account is shown as part of the application process a cereified copy of the marriage certificate in english or thai is required.
8. the application fee for a retirement visa is 1.900 bath. If needed, conversion from tourist visa to non immigration status is extra 2.000 bath.

Das stimmt jetzt aber schon gar nicht. Totaler Quatsch. Bullshit in Weltklasseformat.

Dann sind die auf der Immigration aber total verblödet genau so steht es auf dem Wisch den man dort bekommt.

Tja, nach den Angaben auf der Homepage des Thai-Konsulates in Zürich sieht das Prozedere ein wenig anders aus.

Eventuell ist das oben genannte Formular nicht mehr der aktuelle Stand der Dinge. Die Visumsbestimmungen ändern sich ja allzu häufig.

Viel Glück beim Diskutieren und vor allem auf das Pochen von irgendwelchen Rechten mit den Immigrationsbeamten in Thailand.

Das Formular habe ich selber vor 1 Woche von der Immi in Patty bekommen.
Wie überholt der Text ist kann ich nicht beurteilen.
Allerdings gehe ich als Kunde ( egal ob es ein Amt oder Autohaus oder sonstwas ist ) davon aus das ich die richtigen Informationen bekomme.
Ich habe nur das wieder gegeben was eben auf dem Zettel steht nicht mehr.
Weiters brauche ich weder Glück oder muss irgendwelche Diskussionen führen, da ich alle Papiere habe die notwendig sind,
und wie schon gesagt wie das Ding im Endeffekt heisst ist mir schnurzpiepegal ich kann im Land bleiben ohne diese lästigen Vissa runs.
Laut dem Wisch von der Immi steht halt überall das Wort "VISA" daher bin ich davon ausgegangen das es sich um ein Visa handelt.

Es ist wohl schòn und gut das man verlàngern kann, mir geht es um das 365 Tage aufenthaltsrecht in Thailand,
weder Bern embassy, Zùrich noch Basel consulate gibt sowas, leider nur diese 90 Tage.
Bei 365 Tage also 1 Jahresvisum habe ich 9 Monate zeit diese 800'000 Baht in eine Thai bank zu deponieren.
Bei nur 90 Tage gibt es einen stress und eventuell auch schlechten wechselkurs.

Du hast kein Stress die 800.000 einzuzahlen. Beim 1. Mal Jahresaufenthaltbewilligungsantrag akzeptieren sie
dass das Geld 2 Monate auf der Bank liegt.
Mach einfach Dein Rentnervisum in der Schweiz, komm her und erledige das mit der Bank und gehst im 3. Monat zur Immigration und machst Deinen Jahresaufenthalt. Ist wirklich nichts besonderes oder übermässig
stressig.

@RetePinay: die 800.000 Bath müssen beim Erstantrag 2 Monate auf einem Thai Bank Konto liegen.
Bezüglich Wechselkurs: was ist dir lieber, in Thailand zu sein oder warten ob es ( vielleicht ) einen besseren Kurs gibt?
Wie ich mich entschieden habe hats mich erwischt habe überwiesen wie der Kurs 36,34 war.
Egal dafür lebe ich jetzt hier und mir geht es gut. Tipp leg dir keinen unnötig hausgemachten Stress auf nur wegen dem Wechselkurs.

Auf jeden Fall kann man neuerdings auch eine Jahresaufenthaltsbewilligung im Heimatland beantragen.

Der Jahresaufenthalt kann jetzt auch im Heimatland beantragt werden, das heißt, es gibt das Visum und die Aufenthaltserlaubnis für 1 Jahr zusammen. Auch hierbei ist es erforderlich, sich alle 90 Tage bei der Immigration in Thailand zu melden.

Für die Beantragung ist erforderlich:

• 3 ausgefüllte Visa-Anträge
• Pass (muss mind. 18 Monate gültig sein)
• 3 Passbilder
• Rentenbescheid mit mntl. Betrag von mind. 1.200 Euro
• falls dieser Betrag nicht erfüllt wird: weitere Vermögensnachweise von mind. 16.000 Euro
• Gesundheitszeugnis vom Hausarzt
• Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis (vom Bürgeramt)
• Lebenslauf
• der Antragsteller muss mind. 50 Jahre alt sein
• Visagebühr 120 Euro

- A copy of bank statement showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 800,000 Baht or an income certificate (an original copy) with a monthly income of not less than 65,000 Baht, or a deposit account plus a monthly income totalling not less than 800,000 Baht.

- In the case of submitting a bank statement, a letter of guarantee from the bank (an original copy) is required.

- A letter of verification issued from the country of his or her nationality or residence stating that the applicant has no criminal record (verification shall be valid for not more than three months and should be notarised by notary organs or the applicant’s diplomatic or consular mission).

- A medical certificate issued from the country where the application is submitted, showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535) (certificate shall be valid for not more than three months and should be notarised by notary organs or the applicant’s diplomatic or consular mission).

- In the case where the accompanying spouse is not eligible to apply for the Category ‘O-A’ (Long Stay) visa, he or she will be considered for temporary stay under Category ‘O’ visa. A marriage certificate must be provided as evidence and should be notarised by notary organs or by the applicant’s diplomatic or consular mission.
