If elected President, Duterte mulls 1am curfew for 'commercial establishments'
When asked about his plans for the country if he is elected President, one of the things that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte brought up was the implementation of a curfew for commercial establishments.
From what we understand, this applies to bars and other places that serve liquor.
(You want me to be President. If I become President, everything's closed at 1am. I did it in Davao. Why won't I do it everywhere else)?" Duterte said.
"The discussion on curfews came about after the mayor recalled a party thrown by a friend at a Manila-based resort and casino. He reasoned that the welfare of the service staff and the young patrons of these establishments must be considered in their service hours,"
reports GMA News Online.
Duterte stated: "There's always a time for everything."
