I got a good deal at a Prestige Leisure Hotel in Mtwapa. £220 for two weeks in a one-bedroom apartment. This is my first time in Mombasa, so I'm hoping there are plenty of skinny girls there. There are mixed reviews of Mtwapa, some good, some bad. As a single, older punter, I've traveled to many places on my own: Eastern Europe, Zambia, and a couple of times to Thailand. I usually take a taxi if it gets dark somewhere. What are your thoughts?

Thats a good Price i think but without Breakfast.

You can also use Boda for the drive if you are not afraid to use it.

there are all kinds of girls available in Mtwapa Bamburi or Shanzu you have to pick which one you want

You can also use Boda

Boda in Mtwapa at day time is 50. At night 100 from Prestige. Ask outside for Stvenson. He is a good driver with a good bike.
To Shanzu with Continental and Safari inn (Tuesday and friday) its 150.
For big tree use bolt or uber. Its more safe than a boda

Trust that thousands have been there and survived. If a motorbike is too unsafe for you, use a taxi app, so your driver's name is recorded.

The only concern I have is that you'll initially find everything dirty and horrible—that's Africa.

Ich bin tagsüber immer mit dem TukTuk von Mtwapa ins Big Tree oder ins Yuls. Die Uber-Fahrer haben mich immer angerufen, um den Preis in der App nachzuverhandeln, da hatte ich dann beim dritten Mal keinen Bock mehr drauf.
Von Shaban z.B. hab ich 250 kes mit dem TukTuk bezahlt, fand ich akzeptabel.

Ich habe die Grab-and-Bolt-Apps. Die Leute bringen mich wirklich dazu, das Prestige Leisure Hotel noch einmal zu überdenken, weil sie sagen, es sei Mist. Habe mit ein paar Leuten gesprochen, die in Mombasa sind, die Meinungen gehen auseinander. Einige sagen, man solle nicht in Mtwapa übernachten, da es gefährlich sei, andere sagen, es sei ein toller Ort zum Übernachten.

Mtwapa ist ungefährlicher als manche Stadtteile in westeuropäischen Großstädten!

Wenn man es nicht schafft, seine westeuropäischen Ansprüche beiseite zu legen, wird man in Mtwapa nicht glücklich ... das gilt aber für viele Orte in Afrika.
